	Below is an overview of the services Starplex Systems provides. We have been serving businesses in the Hertfordshire area and beyond since June 2009 and aim to provide convenient, quality services to your business

		IT support and consultancy Our main area of expertise is support and consultancy. We offer two types of support/consultancy packages, Retained and PAYG (pay as you go) With the Retained service the customer pre-pays a fixed amount per month, this amount is determined between Starplex Systems and the customer, but is a minimum of the equivalent of one hours work. This entitles the client to a higher prioritised response than from those customers which use the PAYG service. Also, customers on the Retained service benefit from a lower hourly rate and free remote monitoring. When invoices are due, the pre-paid hours are automatically deducted from the time which has been worked. Whitelists and Blacklists available

Alias = an email address which uses the same domain name as the email service itself. Think of it as an internal forward, for example you may have a mailbox of info@yourdomain.com and you might want to have an alias of information@yourdomain.com delivered to the info mailbox

Forward = an external email address to which you may want messages for one of your mailboxes delivered to, for example, info@yourdomain.com to also go to yourname@hotmail.co.uk

IMAP accounts permanently leave the emails on the server so that you can see the same from any PC where you have the same account configured or when using webmail access

POP3 accounts will typically download unread emails to the PC on which the account is configured, at which point they are removed from the email server

Starplex Domain Hosting

Starplex Systems can look after and administer your domain name on your behalf. We are able to accept transfers as well as register new domains. There is no charge for transferring a domain to us, just the registration itself. But do note that it is possible your existing provider may charge for you to move away. We offer full DNS services, CNAME, A, MX and SPF records.
